The Agribusiness Masters Study Program, Postgraduate, Medan Area University holds matriculation for new T.A. 2020/2021. The opening of the matriculation was opened by the Director of the Postgraduate Program, Prof. Dr. Ir. Retna Astuti K., MS which was held at the UMA Postgraduate Campus Jalan Setia Budi No. 79B Medan, Friday, September 14, 2020. Present at the occasion were Deputy Directors, Heads of Study Programs and Secretary of the Study Program. Matriculation activities start from September 14-26 2020.

In his remarks the Director of the UMA Masters Program Prof. Dr. Ir. Retna Astuti K., MS said “Welcome to the new UMA Postgraduate students. Postgraduate UMA is always committed to improving the service and quality of existing education. Currently all Masters and Doctoral study programs have been accredited by BAN-PT and one of them has received an A accreditation, namely the Agribusiness Masters Study Program. This is the trigger and and our challenge to continue to innovate in providing quality teaching, “he concluded.

Matriculation

Matriculation is one part of the implementation of education, mostly done at tertiary institutions such as bachelor, master and doctoral degrees. The matriculation itself usually contains light courses, with the main aim of refreshing the memory of students in a particular field of study, and also aims to equalize the perceptions and understanding of students about a field or scientific discipline.

This matriculation activity for the 2020/2021 Academic Year was held online because it was still in a state of the COVID-19 pandemic. so that lecturers and students have not been able to meet face to face in the classroom. Even so, the activity was still carried out well and the new students were enthusiastic during the activity.
