If you want to be a better leader, improving your honesty is a great starting point. A leader should always lead group members in a positive direction. If you are an honest leader, those around you are going to see your good intentions and want to be a part of them. You being honest also encourages others to be honest, too.
Be strong and decisive as a leader. Since you are in charge, many decisions may be totally up to you. Often, the solution that best fits the situation will benefit more people rather than fewer people.

Don’t do anything dishonest or shady. In order to build trust as a business leader, you must come through with your promises. If touting your unbeatable service is something you do, your subordinates need to know how to accomplish those goals.
Set goals for your whole business. Everybody wants to pursue something, and leaders can pose annual goals for their employees. Don’t just set them up and let them disappear over the year. At least once a month there should be a review of set goals and what is needed in order to reach them.
